The 2025 Asante Twi Calendar, created by Ebenezer Kobinah Offen of Ghanalingo, is a remarkable tribute to Asante heritage. Among its standout features is the depiction of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the revered King of the Ashanti Empire. This calendar beautifully showcases the rich culture and traditions of the Asante people, making it a must-have for those who celebrate and honor the Asantehene and the Asante Twi language.
The Asantehene, prominently featured on the calendar, stands as a powerful symbol of the rich cultural and historical identity of the Asante people. Dressed in a Kente cloth adorned with designs of the Ashanti Kingdom’s totem, the porcupine, and complemented by Adinkra symbols, his depiction embodies the pride and heritage of the Asante Kingdom.
The calendar displays the twelve months in Asante Twi, following the structure of the Gregorian calendar. It also includes the initials of the seven days of the week. The year 2025 is boldly displayed within the image of the Asantehene.
An interesting feature of the calendar is the inclusion of various holidays officially declared by the Government of Ghana through the Ministry of the Interior. These holidays are clearly marked with a brownish colour for easy reference.
